Thu, October 12, 2023 @ 6:00 pm EDT - 7:00 pm EDT
October 12, 2023 — NATURALISTIC PLANTING DESIGN
There have been some significant developments in recent years towards a more naturalistic approach to planting design that borrows concepts from both ornamental horticulture and ecological restoration in an attempt to create plant communities that provide a balance of aesthetic value and ecological benefits. This webinar will provide an introduction to this style of planting design and explore some of the general, design and ecological concepts being used by its main proponents. It will also discuss some of its benefits, challenges and limitations which in turn will give participants a starting point to explore this style further and determine if it is appropriate for their project.
