Presenter Bio

Asia Scudder’s landscape designs are “rooted” in holistic principles of ecological systems.  In 1998 she transitioned her career as a prairie ecologist with The Nature Conservancy – where she studied the Sandhills prairies of Nebraska – to landscaping, and she could see many shortcomings in the conventional landscaping field.  In response, she started her own company,  “Native Landscapes” .  Beyond the scope of a typical landscape company, she describes her business as being proactive in education, public speaking and community engagement – teaching and implementing strategies for native plantings, soil reclamation and fostering awareness about safeguarding the surrounding watershed are her passions.  Pollinator gardens were a natural segway to introducing both commercial and residential clients to natural landscapes as an option.

Continuing Education Credits are being sought for this program.
