Personal Bio | I am a Colorado raised, third-generation Scottish American. The youngest of three brothers, I grew up climbing mountains, backpacking, fishing, and recently developed a love for bow hunting. I earned my B.S. in Environmental Science, specializing in compost and local food systems, and simultaneously earned my B.A. in Spanish from Regis University, in Denver Colorado. Since college, I have worked as a naturalist guide in Aspen, Colorado, environmental educator and farmer in California and Ecuador, Americorps volunteer, and an agricultural science teacher in the Four corners region. Always trying to learn more, I attend workshops in soil health, holistic management and grazing, and key-line design. In my free time, I love to catch up with friends, play banjo, read, and explore the San Juan National Forest or canyons of SE Utah with my girlfriend. In the future, I aspire to design broad-scale agricultural and living systems that will guide us towards ecological balance. |
Business Description | Working with landowners to design landscapes that enhance soil health, watershed resilience, support biodiversity, sequester carbon and produce a yield. |
