Comments / Notes My services include landscape assessments, comprehensive landscape plans, and project management. I work with homeowners, lake associations, municipalities, nonprofits, garden clubs, and state parks. My specialties include plans for lawn replacements, low-work-and-water lawns, ground covers for lawn reduction, flowering meadows, waterside buffer gardens, deer-resistant designs, and foundation gardens. I am well-versed in the use of native plants and low-impact weed removal. I also devote a portion of my time to communications. I make about 25 presentations each year on garden and landscape topics for a wide variety of audiences. In 2019, I will lead my third all-day tour of flowering meadows in southeastern CT. I teach an all-day class on meadow development for the New England Wild Flower Society. I am a regular columnist for The Day community papers and websites, which circulate from East Haven, CT, to Westerly, RI.
