| Personal Bio | I graduated from the UVA graduate program in landscape architecture in 1985. I worked as a landscape architect designing multi family communities in the mid Atlantic states until 1993, then relocated to Boone, NC to plan and design mountain resort communities until 2008. Since then, I've practiced in mountain communities, focusing on sustainable landscape design using native plants. |
| Business Description | Landscape and hardscape design for residential and commercial properties in the mountains of NW NC, using sustainable landscape practices and mostly (about 90%) native plants on most projects. I source plants from native plant growers as well as the native plant selections from conventional growers. In any case, I favor growers who propagate with environmental benefit in mind. I'm increasingly employing ecology based design principles as I learn more of the specifics. |
