Mr. Kettler has been an avid gardener and enthusiastic nature lover all his life. He loves plants and animals and all the beauty they bring to life. He appreciates the interaction between his gardens and wildlife especially birds and butterflies. At one point he designed and operated 3 public gardens in the highlands of southwest Pennsylvania, and they were the only public gardens between Hershey Gardens and The Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh. He is self taught in the horticultural arts. His educational background includes a degree in Geography with a specialized interest in plant anthropology. |

Mr. Kettler specializes in designing perennial gardens using a mix of ferns, grasses, and perennial flowers, especially native plants. His gardens are designed to be ecofriendly and beautiful and full of life. He gardens without the use of pesticides, especially insecticides. His dream job for somebody would be to design a toad garden. Our gardens and landscapes are intended to be living art what will endure mature, and grow for many years with proper care and attention, creating an investment with high long-term yields in beauty, charm, and delight. Past projects include a wedding resort, a golf club, a restaurant, a museum, two large nature preserves, and fine residential properties, ALL DONE ORGANICALLY WITH MANY NATIVE PLANTS. |
