Personal Bio | I am a lifelong gardener and environmentalist with experience in policy, public speaking and project management. One of my first gardens won an the Rhode Island Monthly award for best amateur gardens. My current native plant home garden is often used for classes and field trips by various organizations. |
Business Description | ecoastal design aims to develop the right plant palette for the site and combine plants in such a way to maximize environmental value while meeting the clients aesthetic and functional needs. (Like not being "too messy" for the neighbors.) As the name implies I am particularly drawn to projects in the coastal plains of Rhode Island and Southern New England. I believe that the design process should be fun and help clients learn about the role of native plants. Note, I am also not a purist and have been known to call for a daffodil or two. |
