Personal Bio | As a park ranger and environmental educator, I was always drawn to nature and ecology. After a decade of working in parks in Maryland and Colorado, I was looking for more flexibility in my schedule, and was drawn to ecological garden design. I completed a Landscape Design course from the New York Institute of Art and Design and have been immersing myself in the native plant and ecological garden communities to focus on gardens that support the local ecology. |
Business Description | Native Elements Garden Design focuses on using native plants to create ecologically balanced, low-water, low-maintenance pollinator gardens for the Pikes Peak Region. Most of our clients have typical suburban yards; we serve do-it-yourselfers and those who want a contractor to complete the installation. The goal is to have a full, low-maintenance garden within three years. |
