Personal Bio | Judith Phillips is a landscape designer, garden writer, and teacher with 40 years’ experience designing gardens in the high desert. She loves working with native and xeric plants because they are beautiful, conserve water, and support wildlife. Her design projects are opportunities to enrich the relationship between people and nature. In addition to writing Southwestern Landscaping with Native Plants, Revised Edition; Natural by Design; and Plants for Natural Gardens published by the Museum of New Mexico Press, Phillips is the author of New Mexico Gardener’s Guide, and Growing the Southwest Garden, strategies for coping with climate extremes in southwestern gardens published by Timber Press and is currently working on The Gardens of Los Poblanos for UNM Press. |
