Join Ted Elliman for a fall tour of Barber Reservation. The Barber Reservation is a 200-acre town conservation land in Sherborn, Massachusetts. Its acreage features a variety of habitats, including hardwood forests, pine forests, shrub thickets, extensive open meadows, and a large marsh. This mosaic of habitats is home to a remarkable diversity of plants. This walk will cover many of these habitats and look closely at the plant associations which characterize them.

For many years, Ted Elliman worked as a botanist, plant ecologist, and instructor at Native Plant Trust. Now retired, Ted continues to teach botany and ecology classes for many botanical gardens and conservation organizations. Ted is the author of Wildflowers of New England, published by Timber Press.
