Organic Land Care is a sustainable ecological landscaping system that promotes and enhances biodiversity, biological cycles, and soil biological activity. The NOFA Organic Land Care Program fosters professional competency in the area of organic landscaping and protects the public interest in responsible use of land care products and land resources.
The Ecological Landscape Alliance and the Organic Land Care Program support similar ethics in land care, seeking to expand the development of biodiverse landscapes and ecological practices. We are joining forces to bring additional training and educational opportunities by offering discounted memberships, training, and educational opportunities to our respective professional member bases.
The Ecological Landscape Alliance and CT NOFA announce that with this partnership ELA members at the Student, Professional, and Company levels will be eligible for discounted enrollment in the OLC Accreditation Course in Organic Land Care and discounted access to CT NOFA/OLC events. Newly accredited AOLCPs will be eligible for a free one-year Professional-level membership (or a discounted company membership) to the Ecological Landscape Alliance and all AOLCPs will enjoy discounted registration in ELA events.
The NOFA Organic Land Care Program has been producing the NOFA Standards for Organic Land Care and training and accrediting land care professionals in the principles and practices of organic land care since 2001. The cornerstone of the NOFA OLC program is the credential of Accredited Organic Land Care Professional (AOLCP). The AOLCP credential is achieved by professionals and others who train in and practice an ongoing commitment to the organic land care approach set out in the Standards for Organic Land Care.
