Discover Ecological Landscaping is a concise introduction to the concepts and practices at the root landscapes managed with an eye to long-term health and sustainability. Originally published in 2005, ELA’s introductory guide was first available as a printed booklet, and more recently as a pdf for self-printing from the ELA website. (Click here to access.)
Now ELA is raising Discover Ecological Landscaping to the next level, turning it into a slide presentation that practitioners can share with clients, teachers with students, homeowners with neighbors. To appeal to the broadest audience possible, ELA is seeking photos from our national membership to illustrate the concepts presented in the booklet. Your company could be featured in the updated Discover Ecological Landscaping.
Let us know if you have a project that exemplifies the best of ecological land care. Send your photos as a jpg file at the highest resolution you have to ela.info@comcast.net and note DEL Photo in the Subject line. In the body of the text, be sure to include the appropriate photo credit and identification.
Don’t have any photos in mind right now? We’ll remind you throughout the year and hope that you will come across the perfect illustration of ecological concepts such as:
- Right Plant, Right Place
- Protecting Soils and Slopes
- Proper Planting
- Encouraging Biodiversity
- Resource Conservation & Protection – water, soil, air
- Native Plants & Wildlife
Share your work, share your knowledge, share your photo, and help ELA continue educating on the value of ecological landscapes.
