Our Members

Who are ELA's members? We are diverse in many ways but united in common purpose. We:

• Believe in using landscaping practices that are environmentally safe;
• Believe that natural systems are the best guide for learning how to develop and maintain healthy landscapes;
• Value landscaping methods that are based upon scientific studies and practical experience;
• Are committed to educating ourselves and others about ecological landscaping methods; and
• Believe that a network of dedicated people can be a powerful agent for change.

Today, ELA has over 300 members throughout the United States and Canada, concentrated in the New England states, California, and in between. Members who hold many and varied environmental ideals, attend ELA's educational events: the popular 2-day annual Winter Conference held in conjunction with the Eco-Marketplace featuring environmentally sound products and services. ELA publishes an informative newsletter, a brochure entitled: "Discover Ecological Landscaping" and a chapterized "Guide to Healthy Landscapes"a practical how-to manual.

For nonprofessionals and others who want to support ELA's mission. Associate members receive the ELA newsletter, mailings, and a copy of the printed Membership Networking Directory. See categories below for Directory listing options.

Professional.................................................................$75

For both professionals and others who are interested in a greater level of commitment and/or participation in ELA's programs.

Professional members receive the ELA newsletter, mailings, and a printed copy of the Membership Networking Directory. This level also includes a directory listing, naming one (1) person, in both the printed and Web "Find an Eco-Pro" Directory, if desired; and a program discount for one (1) person, when available.

Help support ELA's valuable activities. Benefits include all of the above; plus a directory listing naming two (2) people, discounts for two (2) people, when available; and a free 1/8-page ad in the printed copy of the Membership Networking Directory.

Sustaining................................................................. $250

Help sustain ELA in attaining its long-term goals. Benefits include all of the above; plus a directory listing naming four (4) people, program discounts for four (4) people when available, and a free 1/4-page ad in the printed copy of the Membership Networking Directory.
